The winter months are incredibly harsh on my skin, especially my lips. I turn to this recipe whenever my lips need some true tender love and care. The combined ingredients exfoliates dead skin while replenishing moisture to my lips.
Typically, I use my lip scrub 1-2 times a week. I wear lipstick on a regular, so depending on the weather and condition of my lips I will use it 3 times a week. Sounds excessive, but it works in my favor. I use my finger to apply the scrub in a circular motion on my top and bottom lip. After rinsing, I pat dry my lips with a paper towel. The oil and honey leaves my lips feeling smooth and silky. I like to lock in the moisture with a lip butter or coconut oil.
The ingredients are non-toxic and natural. Moreover, the ingredients can be doubled or tripled in amounts for an amazing body scrub. Feel free to add more/less product to your scrub. Personally, I like to add more brown sugar in my scrub for a more “gritty” texture.
Ingredients: 1 part organic brown sugar + 1 part honey + 1 part olive oil + cute container *sometimes I add a splash of vanilla or almond extract for fragrance
