Summer Weekends: Downtown Brunch Edition

Caleb and I recently moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee and so far we are adjusting pretty well. There are plenty of outdoor activities, local shoppes, monthly events, and tons of interesting restaurants! We have a few things on our to-do list while living in Chattanooga and I thought it would be awesome to share them with you all! If you know me well you know I am such a foodie. There is something about discovering tasty local restaurants that makes me smile 🙂 Since it was a rainy Saturday morning we thought brunch would be appropriate.

One of Caleb’s coworkers suggested Food Works, a city-praised brunch spot that people adore and love. We heard they are “famous” for their chicken and waffles so we immediately made reservations.

Can we just take a moment of silence for the $2 double shot mimosas?! So smooth, delicious, and cost-friendly!

I wish I would have taken more shots of the restaurant. It was a manufacturing plant many years ago, but the owners renovated the plant into an artsy eatery. The exposed pipes, industrial lights, and brick walls generated an aesthetic of cozy, warmth, and comfort.

Let’s not forget about the f o o d. Phenomenal. Chicken and waffles with praline and pecan butter followed by a side of local and fresh fruit! Delectable! What an amazing experience!

Food Works Grade: A+ for fast, friendly, delicious, and inviting atmosphere!
